any issues / benefits with hubcentric rims vs. those that use spacers....
Torn on my rim upgrade - ABT A25 or SSR GT1....

my H&R spacers are hub centric and wonderfully finished.
as far as concerns, you gotta use longer lugs.
i have no problem with them whatsoever.
of course, they are hub centric and not just slices of metal plates as you call them spacers, i guess.
i think porsche 930 turbos or something use them stock. not too sure which one though. i think you should be confident if they are made of quality material. H&R makes a lowering spring kit for the Z8, along with spacers to push them out. of course, again, these are hub centric. i would never use spacers that are not hub centric, which would be a nightmare and source of vibrations. in the case with hub centric spacers, i am more concern of the length of the lugs. not sure how long is considered too long and unsafe.
