Install is not really that hard for an experienced guy. Took about 30 minutes with the bumper off, then he did another A6 with the bumper on in about an hour.
Car does seem to runn better, perhaps the airflow is smoother
Parts - $349
Labor - 1 to 1.5 hour
Rating - 8 now, maybe 10 later. never worry about TBB again

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/bipipe.html</a

This was the first thing I did to mine... STFA, heard of TBB issues, got BiPipe, more restful sleep!
I know that there are other solutions to this problem, but I like the idea of a solid casting instead of a y-shaped rubber part.
If the RS4 parts fit the stock TB I would have gone that way. I still replace the bipipe with these later when I get the full RS4 top end for my engine, but that is a story for another day ;-)

I hope your dealer doesn't tell you that your IC blew because the solid bar did not
allow the air to "expand" when you overboost ; ) Nevermind that the RS4 2.7T uses a solid track from the ICs to the TB.
I can't wait for the next discussion. I'm seriously considering taking my business elsewhere after this whole fiasco.

I cleared it in advance with my dealer. The chief mechanic is performance oriented
They believe that a pipe is a pipe is a pipe.
I don't want to know about your discussions, it sounds like they are a bunch of boneheads to believe that a bipipe would cause an otherwise good IC to fail...

I'm glad that is is getting straightened out. One question
I'm curious how you hurt an IC by a shock caused by an accident without completely destroying the car??
If you have the time...

I really don't know. I managed to crack the oil filter also.
I think the oil filter hit the ground and cracked and pushed up and dented the IC which is right next to it. There was no damage on the oil pan or any other part of the undercarriage. The IC has a round dent in it that is more or less matches up with an oil filter.
I guess it had to do with the angle at which I went up on the embankment (picture the driver side corner hitting the ground underneath).
