Default Audi S6 C5 4.2i manual transsmision conversion

Hello.
I have the Audi S6 C5 4.2i 250 kW since 2000 with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
I want to change the manual converter (EEY code, E01 series) because the original transmission is not in good condition. You can not find the original transsmisson and look for a similar gearbox. I want to ask you have ideas to change the gearbox from any vehicle? I thought the change from the 6-speed manual transmission of the Audi A6 2.7bi Turbo 184kW / 250HP (DSY, E01) but I do not know that I would have to replace the front axle differential axle rear axle. Do not know the front drive shaft will not be short? It can be used front drive shaft from Audi A6 C5 allroad, when the Allroad have longer front drive shafts?

Thank you for your opinions.

Not only is this completely doable, but I'm doing it to my own car _right now_. You can round up the parts:
https://jhmotorsports.com/jhm-c5-a6-...arts-list.html

That is a list of every part you'll need. THIS IS NOT A HARD SWAP. But if you pale at the idea of doing a clutch, you may want to enlist the help from someone who won't. It's just bolt on and off parts for the most part. I used to work on these for a living and I never even knew how many things were interchangable from Audi. I had no idea.

Or you can buy a kit, like here:
Audi A6 S6 Allroad Tip To 6 Speed Swap Kit: Audis4parts.com

See here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...qzuv8k/preview

The above is a document that has VERY extensive instructions. I have modified them for my own use, I suggest you save it and keep a copy, for it could vanish at any time if the poster took it down. It is valuable.

These things with a manual are gonna be a friggen HOOT. DO IT!!!
