Default AW Crap (not an April Fools Joke) I got ANOTHER screw in these damn Dunlops!

I swear, this tire is the worst at puncture resistance. 4th screw since Ive owned them. Its holding air at least, since I cant go till after work and have no spare. Culd be worse. Nice way to spend my Friday after work though I need some tougher tires.

Default I used to joke

that the steel belts in the Dunlops on my Miata were magnetized, I picked up so many screws and nails!

What I don't understand is, how does a nail or screw go from lying horizontal on the ground to vertical in the tire? Damned annoying.

FWIW, wife just picked up a gnarly screw in one of the Michelins on her GTI. It seems to be very common, I had it fixed in 15 minutes at a local shop. Just make sure you know where the lug nut key is at all times!

Default if you roll over a nail/screw at the right angle, it will grab the head of the screw/nail

and point the nail/screw straight up and...POOF! you're screwed =P

or nailed, take your pick....

Default LOL! I'm actually pretty impressed with 'em.

I've put 25k miles on them and they still have decent tread on them. Actually, I have newer ones on front until I can get 2 more, but 1 got fried on a pothole, and the other split at the side wall, due to horrible alignment though.
