bad oil temp sensor
ok so not sure what the symptoms of one are, but in the car wash today, my oil sensor light came on and the temp dropped to zero, went through the full range , and reset.
ive had this happen one time a couple years ago, is this a bad thing or was there just an error and the car sensed it and manually reset the sensor?

sounds like a reset when it got shorted (somehow, by water, dont ask me how) in the car wash.
Water plus electrical signal plus go to zero and back sounds very short/re-set like to me.
If it continues, c'mon back. In he meantime. relax.
