Default Brake pedal.. fine one day, to the floor the next

HELP HELP HELP! I own an 03 A6 2.7t auto , and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as I am currently enduring. My brake pedal goes just about to the floor and barely stops after I push it to the floor. It was fine one day now the brakes are essesntially non existent.

EDIT: think it may be my master cylinder because there is no external brake fluid leaking

Could be. Add more fluid to the reservoir while the car is sitting, pump the brakes a few times and look for fluid. I would bet on a broken line or hose.

Check flex lines at wheels for bulges when depressing pedal. If truly no leakage, then master could be churning fluid past the seals.
