Default Bubble in sidewall of tire at on;y 700 miles . . . any suggestions?

I washed my car the other day and noticed a bubble on the sidewall of my right front tire (Pirelli P6000) - what are the chances that the tire was defective?

Default Oh boy, not again

You hit a pothole, eh?

Well, it shouldn't happen unless you hit really drove right through the center of a huge pothole. The tire was likely made wrong. But Audi is going to deny it to high heaven. Oh boy do you have a fight ahead of you. Do not give up when they kick back. Keep fighting your way to the top.

Default My dealer told me . . .

that I most likely hit a pot hole and that if I think the tire was defective, I should take it up with Pirelli.

Save the hassle, just get a new tire now while the wear won't be uneaven with a new one...

Default yeah, like I said

Audi said that about the RE040's for a while until the claims hit about 100. If you don't remember hitting a large pothole, then it really wasn't your fault, no matter what they say.

Any pothole that doesn't make you spill your coffee shouldn't be bubbling your tires.

Muhammad probably has the best idea. Even if they do replace your tire later, they won't replace the whole set. Buy a new one on the quick and save yourself some trouble.

I realize they are not the same tires, but meant it more in that AoA may be quicker and more willing to respond to complaints with other tires now that they are replacing the TT and S4 tires, especially if they receive more complaints. I did not mean to imply they have obligated themselves to replace it.

At 700 miles a good dealer should replace the tire, no questions asked. Mine replaced a Re040 at 7000 miles! And I hit a major pot hole.
