C5 A6 Fuel Pump Woes
A month back I was stuck at work with a dead fuel pump. I had heard the warning sounds for weeks, noisey pump. The ugly noises went away after the car started up so I ignored them. That's my fault. So, I finally go stuck somewhere and then had to address the problem. Since it was a busy week at work I took it to my trusty garage and they confirmed a bad pump and replaced it with a new OE pump.
Every since the new pump was installed I frequently have to crank a little longer than usual to get the car started. Usually if the engine is cold it will take longer to crank. Not always if the engine is warm.
The only codes I have are:
Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 1: Insufficient Flow
-P1423 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 2: Insufficient Flow
-P1411
The SAI pump is running, I probably have a cracked hose or something.
So, any suggestions before I bring it back to the garage?
