Can I use generic DOT 4 brake fluid or MUST I use Pentosin?

ATE Bremsflussigkeit, DOT4, Super Blue
Pentosin is very good too. But what you should be conerned with is how often and hard you plan to brake, and given that it is summer, your fluid will heat up and may boil over. Thats bad. So go with a fluid that can withstand a higher boiling point.

Pentosin is a brand name, and is DOT 4 compatible.
they can all be mixed, DOT3 too.
Beyond that you are really trading off boiling point characteristics:
- dry boiling point
- wet boiling point, which for most of us is the only one that matters
- water absorption rate ( whcih tak4s you from dry to wet)
I use castrol LMA. If you track the car i would suggest ATE super.

Yes. It is not silicone-based like DOT 5.
DOT 5.1 is glycol-based, like DOT 3 and 4. It is miscible with all other chemical synthetic fluids such as DOT 3, DOT 4.
DOT 5.1 is sort of a high performance DOT 4 fluid.
