Can someone explain to me the difference between sport and redline when doing a tip recode?

right here:
sport changes the shift pattern to be firmer, while "red line" allows gears to be held longer (ex in my case till about 6900 rpm)...doing the recode are you? id go 3...but that also disabled my "kickdown" button

Workshop code tells the dealer who worked on your car - each dealer has a code. 00000 is the
default. You don't want to let the dealer know you've been poking around in there....
Then again, if you are off warranty and not going to take it to the dealer, fire away and use any number you want!!
