Default cars at the dealer...

Complaints:
1) CEL, dealer is taking care of
2) Window clips: warranty company says is not covered, what's up with that?! Quotes $280, I told him to **** off, I'll get the clips and do it myself.
3) Radio fan chirping, says there is nothing wrong, something probably got into the fan, like leaves. Bull5h1t.

I hate dealers.

Default Whose warranty?

Most warranties cover mechanical issues only. More complete ones might cover electrical. So if the window motor goes out, that may be covered, but not the window or the other holders/clips, etc.

You might look up your vin# via the window recall and call AoA directly at their customer relations hotline. Get action from the top down.

There should be a grille/filter over the intake for the cliamte control so that nothing falls in. Again, depending on the warranty fine print, the noise may not be covered, but if the motor burns out, it should be. Of course it could be a bearing chirping away, in which case it won't be long before they have to tear into the dash anyway. Just have them note the sound on the RO, even if they don't do anything about it.

Default AUDI reimbursed me for mine...

Two month's after paying out of pocket, I brought the car for a 50K check... The service rep. told me it was under recall... and i got a check in the mail about a month later.
I'll double check my records
