CTS-V beat out a B7 S4?!?!
I was watching Topgear this morning and they had a segment on the CTS-V. Cadillac claims the V handles like a proper European car. Topgear decided to test this theory out against a PROPER European sports car... the B7 S4. They had a race around the Topgear track where the S4 could never get past the CTS-V, ever!
Blows my mind that a "Caddy" could whomp on a European designed sports car. However, what the S4 couldnt do on the track, the Caddy couldnt do quality wise. According to Topgear the interior quality was abysmal and was extremely substandard for a $60k lux-rocket. The S4 on the other hand "World CLass Interior."
Just thought I would mention this becuase the forum seems slow today.

Read November issue of EVO. They compare the CTS-V with an Alpina 5 series and
stock Maserati Quattroporte. One complaint is that you can't fully disable the traction control, and so you never get to fully explore what seems to be a fine chassis. The stability/traction control works the brakes so hard that they start to go soft rather quickly. Of course they noted the dreadful fit and finish, but allowed for that, given the very reasonable price when compared to the others.
BTW, the Maserati won - both subjectively, and via track times despite having the least horsepower and torque as well as the most weight.
