Deleted my auxilary water pump. Didn't take much apart.
Just tired of replacing the damn thing! I didn't even take off my manifold this time. All I removed was the Y-pipe and the drivers side diverter valve. Since I had replaced the pump already once the hoses weren't tough to get off. I suspect if they were the original lines all coroded it would not have been as easy. Although if you replace both inlet and outlet hoses on the pump you could just slice the old ones and it shouldn't be that bad. I left the hoses connected to the pump and removed them with it. I disconected the easy sides of the hoses which are not under the manifold. Even if I didn't delete the pump I would still replace it w/o taking off the intake. I just reached in from behind and was able to pull the old one out. The hardest part was getting the front rubber mount out. I bought a new pump intending on putting it in, but I use a TT so I really see no need for it. I just put in a hose bypassing the pump so it circulates normally. So far so good and lightwieght.
