I've already done my oil change for the season (using Amsoil), but for next year, it'll be Delvac. It occurs to me that my boat engines will be long dead for other reasons before I see any benefit from using Amsoil synthetics.

I use Delvac on the boat engine too (volvo diesel).

I guess your sending me back to the drawing board. I will continue to gather more info, but I fear my efforts are futile! I would love to see some definitive data on this once and for all. I'm just going by what I've been told by people I trust...I hardly understand the technical aspect enough to discuss. I do know my engine sounds much better, and I'm not the first person to do this. I'm gonna stick to the castrol for now but I will question it.
