Default I have in every vehicle I have ever owned. It is worse in some vehicles than in others.....

I think it depends a lot on the cowl design and the aerodynamics surrounding that area.

Default Yes, and it is extremely strong, but only with Audi brand washer fluid!

Have you noticed an annoying streaking on your windshield when you turn on the wipers? A ghostly sheen that fades, only to reappear with each new wipe?

I had both the steaks and the smell with Audi factory fluid, but switching to good old 20/10 got rid of the steaking and the smell.

To get rid of the steaks, it was necessary to dump and then throughly rinse out the wiper fluid reservoir with several changes of water. Then you need to VERY GENTLY clean the windshield with Bon Ami GLASS (not CERAMIC or TILE) cleaner, and then wash with a lot of water.

If you have only the smell, simply dump the reservoir and switch to 20/10.

20/10 is what I use here in rainy ol' Pacific Northwest. It is the best I have come across.
