Default Driver WIndow Wont Open

After leaving the driver window open at night during the rain, the window will no longer open. Have tried the key in lock but does not close. AM taking to shop but was trying to diagnose possibilities such as control panel is wet but can it be fixed, the window lock button does not seem to click down/change when pressed and wondering if either of these could be problem. I do not think there is a fuse but rather a circuit breaker that gets reset (plus the other 3 windows are fine).

Any ideas to save $?

Thanks,

Stephen

Let it dry out before you do anything else.

I'd guess corrosion in the switch that MIGHT dry out over time, but probably will need cleaning. If you get the switch out of its mounting and spray the insides with some electric contact cleaner, it might come back to life.

common misconception... water dosent hurt electronic compenents. they just wont work if there is water on them... solution... dry them out.... we dunk circut boards in water all day here with no problems, only if there is a shorton the board do we encounter problems when wet :P
