Default Driver's Side Front Window Won't Roll Up.

I have a 2002 A6 Quattro, and today I put my window down at a drive thru window, and now it won't go back up. It goes about half way, stops, and then rolls itself back down. Does anyone know what this could be? Is it a relatively easy fix? Thank you !

Sounds like the window lost track of it's pinch control position. Try this reset:

With ignition on and engine off..
Roll window down and hold switch in position for 2 - 5 seconds then
Roll window up and hold switch in position for 2 - 5 seconds
Release switch and try it out

If not, it could be a defective switch.

Yup, and a bit of a common problem for our cars. $12 or so for the part, about an 1hr depending on what pace you work at:

This video explains it well.

Put a little bit of pressure on the glass to help it up if you haven't gotten it back up yet.

That sounds alot like the window regulator if the above does not help. The motor goes back down if it draws too much amperage, like somebody's arm in the window. The regulator starts binding and dragging and causes the system to put the window down.

$5 says it's the problem described in the video. It's a pretty easy fix.

Yeah it sounds like you need to do a reset procedure. Did you happen to disconnect the battery before this happened? Some vehicles will lose the memory function when the battery is disconnected. You can also check the owners manual to see if the window reset procedure.
