Factory installed Nokia phone mutes stereo all the time
Anyone heard of this problem:
I have an A6 2001 with a factory installed Nokia 6190 and Bose sound system. A couple of months ago the system started to mute at all times. The local Audi dealer tried to find out what was wrong, but after 15 hours(!!!) of troubleshooting, they told me that I should change the phone control unit. The price of this unit is EUR 2000 (!!), and of course I did not go for that.
I was lucky enough to get a similar unit through E-bay (paid 31 euro), put it in, and it worked great for about 1 week, then the exact same problem came back...
Audi seem to have no solution for me, and I do not want to have them spend even more time on this as they charge EUR 150/hour here in Norway even if they cannot fix the problem.
Any hints?
