Default FWIW...just replaced OEM Contis @32K miles

I might have squeezed another 5K out; they weren't quite down to the wear indicators. Replaced them with the virgin spare and 3 identical new ContiTourings. Pretty good tire in my book; good performance, quiet. I've never lost traction (even when I tried) so I saw no point in big $$ for higher performance tires.

Had the road force balance and the installer said the trueness was among the best he'd seen. So I'm set for another 4 well-shod years with full tire protection for under $400.

A relatively new Hunter wheel balance system that applies force to the tire while its being balanced. It also provides very accurate run-out (out-of-round) measurement on the wheel and the tire individually so they can be matched to cancel out. At only an extra $8 per, I figured what the heck...live a little.

Default well done. ( as I slink away after going through 3 sets of tires already)

S02's lasted 20k, including 2 days of track time
Rosso lasted 18K, 2 track days, I messed up and had too much air 2nd day and wore the center of the tire, would have gotten 22-24k outta them.
S03's lasted 20K and again I screwed up, I was turning the front wheels to get a look at how the wear was, everything looked fine , till I got the wheel off and saw the inner most part of the tread was worn way down, could not really see it by just turning the wheels : (. Cost me about 5-8k of wear. I could have gotten 25-28k outta them. : (

Default Tire ****!

That's OK, my hubby and I are both wheel AND tires *****. Let me tell you, those lightweight forged wheels are even more expensive than tires! ;-)
