again I had a wonderful small road trip in the 4.2. Wonderful touring car. Merged into traffic on the highway with ease. Hit 95 to pass some slow traffic and it felt like 45. Maintained cruising speed of 75-80 with very little wind noise. I love those damn red lights at night! Soothing and cool looking. Sport seats were comfortable. Had some problems with the nav system but then I realized it was my fault. For example, I input Hamptons but did not differentiate between the Hamptons in Connecticut or New York. My wife input Ely Avenue instead of Ely Brook Avenue, etc. I easily found the restaurants I ate at like Nick and Tonys on the system. I think a map display would have made things a bit easier. But when I put in the right address, I never had a problem. By the way, the nav instructions suck. I was getting frustrated that every time I got on the highway the system kept trying to get me off to some back road but realized today that you have to check all the route options you want and reject those you don't. Quite confusing without the help of an adequate instruction booklet.

The Escort was great and warned me of a police cruiser coming the opposite way and four or five on the highway, even one cop giving a ticket to someone on a side road next to the highway. Always with enough time to act accordingly. Threw a couple of false signals especially passing grocery stores. Overall,I gave it an "A" on this trip. No problems with the window mount.
