would you please post pics...I Have the Andorra red color and don't think that the smoke lens will look all that great. So, considering these but I don't want the car to look like a hopped up Civic.

NOPI Clear A6 tail light lens

dont do it!!! (more)
i think that they are nasty. it makes the car look cheap. plus u have to put red bulbs in which look pink when on. it also makes it hard for other drivers behind u to see u brake during the day. they are not legal and if someone does rear-end u, they can blame the clears and u will be at fault.
plus cops love to harass people with clear tails.

Sorry, no pix, but I saw them on a silver 2.7T and they looked sharp. Kinda "high-tech" not (more)
rice rocket. They actually looked silver in appearance. Steve B. helped me figure out that what I'd seen were clear lenses. I don't think I'd care for them on a color other than silver though. But that's just my opinion.

Those are nasty....
As Audi rises in status and prestige, the gold chain crowd comes along pimping their cars with cheap ad ons..
Smoked tail lights, clear lenses, aftermarket chrome wheels neither enhances the car, nor adds to the resale value, and can be a potential safety hazard..
In addition to attracting undesireable attention from cops, thugs in bad neighborhoods would love to steal your car for a joy ride..

I thought about the clears, then ....
when I was in Germany, I stopped in a dealer to buy them. The parts counter guy asked what color my A6 was. Saying silver, he retorted that the black was much more attractive. He was right, the black lenses pretty much match the black license plate surround. The silver lenses look cheap.

no red bulbs
Hello/in.pro puts a little canister over the bulb inside made of tinted plastic. This way you don't need to put in a tinted bulb.
Still, if you don't want your car to look like a Civic, I don't know how you can put these on.
That's just my opinion though.

YOU are nasty.
Ease up there partner.
The world would be a boring place if everyone were the same. Everyone else's culture, opinions and preferences shouldn't have to be just like yours. If everyone uses the clear lenses, then you'll have the only perfect car! Enjoy.
...and I don't like the clear lenses either. But I wouldn't jump on someone who really love's them.

I don't know if you were looking for opinions or just info, but I think your Andorra Red looks...
perfect with the red taillights. The clears would look like a cheap tack-on, in my opinion, and would stand out too much on an otherwise subtle car. Consider waiting until the '02 model comes out, they may have done a slight mod to the colors/pattern of the taillight covers that could be compatible, the new Passat has a partially clear cover over round red lights. Don't like it, personally, just doesn't fit with the rest of the car. Too IS300 and too ricey!
