Headlight's not adjusting

Headlight's not adjusting
I have a 2004 Audi A6 S-line with xenon headlights. I had an incident a few days ago and racked my front end pretty good (hit a pot-hole pretty hard). Since then, my driver-side front headlight has been aiming at the ground. I can't tell if the automatic adjustment mechanism is broke or if the light is simply aimed incorrectly. I'm not the best with this stuff so any help is extremely appreciated.
Thanks!

First, make sure the suspension angle sensors are intact. I believe they can be found on the front left lower front control arm and on one of the rear control arms. If it's giving a funny reading because it's detached or broken, the controller will use that input when adjusting them.
If the sensor is good, an adjuster could have broken, the reflector could have become detached from the motor, or the projector could have broken off the back of the reflector. I've dealt with all three issues. If a visual inspection doesn't reveal anything, pull the back doors of the headlights off and see if anything is loose.

Figure that if anything were amiss with either or both of the car's two suspension angle sensors, the automatic beam leveling function of both headlights would be affected not just the driver side.
Plus the fact that there's no headlight error message likely indicates that the driver side headlight itself is jacked up internally.

Thank you both! I'll inspect it as best I can. Looking at the front of the car, it looks like it might be messed up internally because it seems the light is aimed lower then the other.

Well, I took the car into the dealer to get it looked at because my untrained eye couldn't see anything wrong. It turns out that the lights were broken when the car was sold to me used by the dealer. The technician showed me under and around the lights how someone tried to repair them and my incident simply broke what they had done. So the initial estimate is $2100 to replace them both... lesson learned I guess.
