Help with water in front passenger foot well, I have searched the archives...
but not found a clear answer to where the water may be coming from. I have attached pictures that show where I found visible water. Please let me know if you know where to stop this leak.
It really sucks to find standing water in your new car. I bought this 2001 a6 sedan about 6 months ago. As you can tell from one of the pictures it appears it may have leaked in the past.
Again, thanks for you help.

3 sources come to mind...
battery drain hoe, make sure they are not obstructed;
A/C condensor drain, sometimes gets clogged by debris;
windsheild replacement, improper seal.
I'm sure there are others, but these seem to be the more common ones.

Thanks Robert for enlarging the pics, I was just reading about removing the .t.
Boston Driver the battery drain seems easy enough to find but what about the ac condesor drain, do you have any pics?
And, thanks.

You might check the lower windshield trim
I had water coming in around my foot well. I found that some clips where missing from the lower trim cover at the bottom of the windshield. Check this photo. The arrows indicate where three clips are that hold that down. In my case two were missing and the water was going down through the polen filter (under the arrow on the left).

I hope you don't have a Tip transmission as the ECU is exactly where that water is going. If that burns out it's over $1200 to replace IIRC.

Threadjack - Kris, your picture reminded me of a question I had for you...
When you went with AWE's fueling kit, with what did you replace your accordian hose.
The reason I ask is because on my accordian hose, there's a fitting / connection on the lower / back side (sorta between the middle of the accordian hose and the firewall). For this reason, if I went with an RS4 accordian hose, I'd have to modify it to accept the conncetion.
Short versoin - does / did anything connect to the back / underside of your accordian hose, and if so, did you have to modify the AWE part, or did it already have the appropriate fittings?
Sorry no pics...

AWE Provides a silicone hose to replace the flex hose
It has a fitting about half way for a PVC connection. Take a look at the AWE Fueling Kit Installation Guide to see what I'm talking about. Step 7.
