Hi - Convert from BMW X5 to Audi A6 2.7t Quattro here
Greets all. I have been lurking and posting a bit - great info. I like this board here better than the bimmer.org one - I was very active there and did a LOT of mods to my X5 but found that not many people shared information and most were just information leaches. I am trading it in on an Audi A6 and a BMW 330 CiC for weekends (maybe a Z3/Z4 - haven't decided). I already have the Audi ETKa and the Full Maintenance Library for A6's up to 2003 so I will hopefully be able to contribute here as well.
But I wanted to say thanks to everyone for contributing to the forum and I am glad to be in the Audi Family (first Audi in family) and I'll let you all know when I get my Bluetooth Phone kit integrated, Nav Plus Installed, etc...

You sound pretty technical - you've probably already figured out you're going to want VAG-COM on the same laptop as ETKA and the Bentley CD. And if you got the paper manuals instead of the Bentley electronic shop manual, I think you messed up. Being able to cut'n'paste an ECU error code from VAG-COM into the Bentley search engine, and jumping right to the problem toubleshooting section for that code, is simply awesome.
Welcome aboard!
