I've always loved the wagon ever since I saw the Volvo 850T. When I started shopping around for a family car I wanted a wagon. No mini-van or SUV would have done it.
Volvos V70R was out and I loved the exterior but not the interior. So I started looking for BMW 540i wagons, there were only a few used out there and none any that I would have bought. Until I happend apon a review of the B6 Audi S4 and started doing research.
I found audiworld / audizine and was hooked on the 340hp wagon. I leased a Silver 2005 S4 Avant in Sept. of 2004 and loved every minute of it. The kid seat barely fit in the back seat and made the passenger have to move the seat way up. Wife wouldn't let me mod since it was a lease.
Fast forward 3 years and my boy, now 2 1/2 is kicking passengers in the back of the head. My lease is up and I am thinking 535ix nice car, freaking expensive! So thats out, C6 A6 Avant, no 4.2 in the Avant and I want the go go go.
I found my next Avant, 2002 Amulet Red S6 looks very similar to the B6 S4 I turned in. People have asked me why I bought the same car. It has so much room! adults can acually sit in the back seat comfy.
Since I bought this one, the wife is letting me mod, even encouraging me to mod(Gotta love that!) She says this car is not as sporty as the S4. Ok I'll see what I can do about that!
Wheels are off ebay 19" with +20 offset on 255/35/19 the folks that I bought them from struggled to send the correct length wheel bolts but they were very responsive and sent 3 sets of bolts all the wrong length. Got impatient and found the bolts at wheel warehouse in Anaheim, CA.
H&R coils and rear sway are next, have them already just need installation can't wait!

Hey Pete,
Thats why when I found a red one I jumped on it. Yours is the only red one I've seen. Being out here in Cali, I've spoken to Audi Bob and saw his stock.
