How do you tell if car is Sport Model?
I have a 2000 A6 4.2 and want to know what the differences are between the normal model and sport model, and how do I know what I've got.
Thanks

I don't think Audi offered a Sport package in 2000 for the 4.2
They didn't offer a sport model in 2000 for the 4.2. At least, its not on the 'Model Library' on the Audi CPO site. I have a 2000 4.2 also, 17 inch wheels were an option that I have.
Sport package is listed on the 2001 page and it includes the 17" wheels, special front seats, and suspension components.
I think carbonLORD has done the suspension mods on his 4.2. I am sure he will chime in here too.
What color is yours? Mine is Silver/Ebony and I am totally in love with this car!!!
Lots of happy miles to you!

I have the 17" wheels, Pie Plates
Mines Silver with grey interior. I've had the car since the end of last summer. I haven't made any mods yet. I'm looking to get new wheels and tires. Having a hell of a time trying to figure out what to do. I've seen the pics of carbonLORD's car, looks great.

The 2000 4.2 did not come with a sport package, only came with 235/50/16" wheels. So if you have the 17" pie plates, then it's prob. safe to assume that you have a mid 00 build with sport package, unless the previous owner put the pie plates on.
