Hello all

I’m debating on repairing my screen on my cluster due to the common pixel problem but wanted to check prior to sending off for repairing.
my question, is there an oem from like a Passat or other Audi /VW that is a swap and plug and play no adjustments or programming needed? Or is there an upgraded version available that would not leave me without a cluster while current one is out being repaired and I can still use my vehicle?
just unplugged the cluster and car won’t start so I will be dead in the water till the cluster is returned. Also
if I went to a JY and pulled a cluster can I simply plug in or will programming be needed? If one was found at a JY how would I known if the screen has been upgraded would there be a sticker from the company or person who repaired it is there seals on the oem that I can tell tail if it’s been out?
any help or suggestions would be great before I bust out a couple hundred $$$.

Your cluster contains the guts for immobilizer II, and your car will not run without the proper cluster.

For that reason, having your cluster repaired is the best option. Rent a car or find a (fill in the blank) _______ with a car for that time period.
