Wow, someone told me to take the longgg way home upon delivery....so I did it! Dinner was cold when i got home. I find any and every excuse to get in my 2.7T PSK 6-speed! I've washed it 4 times already. My wife is jealous cause i spend more time with it than her. Put 800 miles in the 7 days i've had it. As you all are aware....it is soooo smooth, quiet, and fasttt. Coming from a Ford Expedition, I never realized how much fun driving can be. Well, gotta go get lunch...Yeeee Haaaaaa

De Ja Vu.....I just experinenced it !!!! You and I have had the exact same experience as I too went from an Expedition to a Silver A6 2.7t 6-speed. I have taken the long way home many times in the 3 months I've owned her. I think I can safely say that I truly know how you feel. Good Luck and Congratulations on your new baby.

My wife just picked up her new silver bullet too - 2001 A6Q Avant. She is quite happy to be out of her Ford Explorer, and seems to spend a lot more time driving and in the garage. We had to get a 2nd A6 because she kept trying to pawn off her Explorer on me!

Likewise. I also took delivery of an '01 Silver/Tungsten 2.7T 6 spd. last week. Here's how amazing this car REALLY is: my wife (who could normally care less about cars) loves it and couldn't wait to take it for a drive. I think the manual scared her a bit (note: my selfishly devious plan is working!) but she really loves this car...and it's the first one of the several cars I've bought during our marriage that I've taken NO flak for. Now I'm trying to get her to consider and Allroad as a replacement for her soon to depart 4Runner lease.(!) Finally, Audi has created the cure for my auto-marital woes!!

First time I drove one. Couldn't believe how poorly it rode and handled! Knew from reading it's a truck, but can't believe people put up with it.
