Default Just installed new rims and tires last night>>

I bought a package from Edge Racing with Flik Titan rims and Sumitomo HTZ+ tires. I can't believe the difference it made. I took off the 16" wine glass rims and Dunlop Sport A2's. The new 17" have improved this car tremendously. The steering went from mushy and very poor turn in to crisp turn in and very good road feel. The Sumitomo's are a great compromise for all season 225/45/17's Z rated. There very quite too. The look is awesome. I can't believe how much it transformed this car. The large 5 spoke really looks great on this car. It went from frumpy family hauler to sport wagon. The great thing was this whole package only cost me $800. A very worthwile mod. By the way the new 17" rims and tires weigh less than the 16" set up. Pictures to come later

Default If you think you need all seasons, you probably would appreciate snows

They can be cheaper than an insurance deductable!

Default Well I have been driving in snow for years>>

I got the all seasons so I didn't have to have two sets of rims and tires. These are great summer and winter tires. It is a very strange combination. You usually give up something in an all season but all my research said these were very close to the Michelin Pilot all season. I have dedicated summer tires on my M3 and I know the second the temps drop they become less effective until they have heated up. You don't have these issues with the Sumitomo's.

Default 2 sets are a pain but: 2WD+snows>4WD+allseason

Its a balance decision. How much snow, drive etc..Looking forward to the pics...

Default post some pix. I noticed a major difference when I did my tire/rim mod.
