Default Key Programming

Wonder if anyone knows the procedure to program your key to the seat/mirror memory so that when you unlock the door the position changes. I had the service advisor at Audi do it once and he is no longer there. Audi is trying to figure it out but the manual is wrong. Anyone done it and know the steps ?

In my 2001 2.7T, you hold down the desired memory button on the driver's side door, while simultaneously holding down the unlock button on your primary key. In about three seconds, the programming is complete. Just make sure that the "stop" button on the seat memory console is not depressed or it will not register.
