Sun came out today so I took a few pictures. I like the looks of the Pirellis with mille miglia sports. Too bad that the car gets smutzed so quickly. Great fun and go in the snow. A couple more pics and then I'm off driv'n.

Default I guess it's hard to run real hard with those not-so-sporty tires...

but I bet it's nice to air it out a bit and let the revs do what they do best...rev!

We're at a bit over 800 now...so pretty soon I, too, will be seeing what this phat red gumball can do

Default The Conti's are in storage until spring -- maybe I'll give 'em to the wife

for the A6. That car could stand an upgrade to 17". Hummmm, some coilovers, lowered, ECU . . .whoops, I didn't want to do those mods; so I bought the S6.

Anyway, thoughts on great summer rubber? People seem to like the S-02's or PZERO's. As long as they're very good in the wet. Wheels? Maybe OZ Superleggeria or Kosei Racing (I understand they're light AND strong). I'm not sure either come in the correct bolt pattern and the OZ might be only in grey. Hey, I got a couple of months to decide. So suggestions are sought.

Default Mike, are you thinking of going to 18's w/ new summer tires??

The thought has crossed my mind too.

Default Something about those OZ wheels filling the wheelwell and no sidewall flex that is soooo right.

Too bad the grey wouldn't look good with the Goodwood -- something in silver or (god help me) chrome. The grey wheels would be fantastic set next to Amulet red.

Short answer - yes on 18". Why do you ask?

Well Mike, I know I'm replacing my Conti Sports this spring with something much more aggressive. The question I have in my mind is whether or not I want to get these new tires for the 17in OZ Antares I now have my Dunlop wintersports on, and put the snows on the stock rims, OR go whole hog and get a new set of 18in wheels to put the new ultra performance tires on. I'd better see how the ride is with the KM coilovers first, then decide. Haven't driven the car yet, as I'm STILL waiting the arrival of the exhaust, and wish to have it all done with this trip to dealer. Maybe tomorrow??
Jees, just how damn long does it take to get an exhaust via UPS from Akron OH to Ft Wayne IN? Maybe they shipped it Pony Express via London! :<(
