looking for insight on doing EVAP leak test with smoke
C5 4.2 EVAP Smoke machine DIYHello AW, just wondering if any one has done or know where I can get info on a DIY on using a smoke machine to check for vacuum leaks. I have the machine, Elsa touches bas on it a little but I haven't been able to get a definitive answer on where to tap into, I'll be putting 1ish psi to the system so all check valves/ kombi valves will open and allow the smoke to go through everything. Please let me know some more information

If you can block off the large rubber boot to the intake manifold, then any other port to the manifold will suffice. (Unfortunately, I only have experience on the 2.7T cars, but, if it works on that engine, then it should work on the 4.2 engine.) The best advice is to do it in an area where the wind is not blowing.
