Default Replacing interior fuse box

The fuse box on my '99 A6 Quattro has two worn out fuse housings. The 10 amp fuse will no longer fit snugly in the cruise control and adjustable headlight slots. Can someone recommend an easy fix our must i replace the whole box. If I add a little solder to the fuse, will this work? The fuse box new is only $100, but I imagine the installation would be expensive. Any information will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Well, it certainly seems that the first thing to try is to "thicken" the legs of the fuse by adding a bit of solder to the legs. It's got to be a lot cheaper and easier than replacing the fuse block.

It is what I would try in this situation (disclaimer: I have never done it, since I didn't need to...)
