Default Main Fan jammed!!!!

While driving my Audi a6, the black intercooler pipe on drivers side came out of place and jammed against the main fan, car began misfiring a lot and then the abs came up on dashboard, after putting the pipe back in place everything went back to normal, but could this caused any damage? Like timimg issues or something?

Intercooler pipe (red circle)separated from the intercooler hose(circled in yellow)

A visual inspection should locate any damage.

luckily for me, neither the fan or intercooler tube was broken, so i guess Im good, correct? I was just afraid something else might had happened since fan was really jammed to this tube and not moving at all. Car didn't even overheated since I drove the car home right away. I guess the other other two fans helped a little this time.

There is a groove in the cam sprocket cover on the driver side that the intercooler pipe should fit into. When properly seated, there should be no interference between the fan and the pipe.

Agree, and it's a little tricky to set the pipe correctly. Helps to twist the top of the pipe a little toward the front of the car as you seat it. This lets the long skinny tab on the bottom rear of the pipe hop over the edge of the groove. Always wondered why that was needed!
