Fix the vacuum leaks. It's hard to tell from your pictures, but address any that look questionable. What you called pressure regulator hose is known as spider hose, and it appears the top nipple on the distributor piece has snapped off. Could be a major contributor to your problem.

Double check the vacuum hose connections on the back of the engine/intake manifold.
I could be wrong on my spider hose "nipple snapped off" assessment. I'm used to a 01 manual trans 2.7 and the spider hose is different for auto trans cars. Regardless, these plastic spider hose assemblies get brittle and crack easily. I would spray propane from a small torch at the spider assembly to see if idle increases, indicating a vacuum leak.

Just to conclude this thread, I fixed my check engine problem about 3 weeks ago. I replaced the breather hose(or spider hose) and while there, also did the intake manifold gaskets. But not sure if all that trouble was necessary. After replacing the spider hose and the intake gaskets, decided to do something else that I should have done since the beggining, I erased the check engine light, by letting the negative battery cable disconnected over night, (I dont have a scanner at hand.) And finally until now haven't seen that ugly light again.
Probably replacing the sparkplugs and erasing the code was all I had to, but I had the belief that the light will dissapear by itself. But also my spider hose was not looking good, or probably my intake gaskets were indeed leaking. Also my battery was in really bad shape, it would not hold the charge very good, probably it was the culprit for my engine starting problem. Ran to the autoparts store got it tested and replaced for a new one, car starts smoothly now. So not really sure what repair in effect fixed the problem.

Default 2000 Audi A6 2.7

around a month ago, i left for school, car ran great, left for lunch, car still ran great. after school i started my car, and it was stuttering and misfiring, got the car home and it threw a code for p0300. Car idles rough and sounds like a subaru, also shakes when accelerating. If i clear the code, it stays off then randomly comes back on, keeping in mind the car still runs horrible the whole time. It will randomly come back and it’s came back blinking once and stayed solid once. it randomly blinks at startup or under acceleration. any ideas?
