My brothers 6MT is making a weird clunking noise when you get on it from a start in first
gear. It is a 2000 model with 129K miles and is otherwise in great shape. We recently put KO4s and an RS4 Clutch in. It is only running 18 pounds of boost for now on stock fueling.
It sounds like it is coming from the center of the car, drive shaft, torsen diff, any ideas?

Could it be the notorious drive shaft UV joint "clunk"? I've had this
happen in several cars and it always eluded me as the UV joints are so well hidden in the shaft connections and often overlooked .... but sometimes its the simplest least expensive part that ends up being the culprfit .... at least in my case after i spend hours and dollars on chasing it.
