Need Help/Ideas Removing Calipers HP2 4pad
I need help very badly, my caliper bolts will not budge. I have tried a breaker bar and impact wrench. Soaked in PB Blaster. NOTHING MOVING.
Should I lay into it with an acetelyne torch to heat it?

No offence, but are you sure you're turning the correct way? That is,
looking at it from the wheel, you should be going clockwise as the nut is behind the wheel.
Mine weren't that tight, surprised you're having trouble with a breaker bar

Re: Need Help/Ideas Removing Calipers HP2 4pad
Righty tighty, lefty loosey. I have tried both ways just to try and break it loose. I got the driver side top to move almost 1mm. That is all the movement I have seen. I had an impact on it @175psi and nothing. Either side. Just a lot of swearing on my part. My neighbors must think I have a really trampy girlfriend as I threw every feminine swear I could think of at the car.

Re: Are we talking about the two that hold the U shaped bit on, or the two that
The bolts that hold the caliper to the hub. I have to do wheel bearings and tie rods and need to remove the whole assembly.
Thanks

No offense, and I have not done my HP2 myself, but did you see this tech advice? Was it
useful?

It's under the Resources tab in the header above, a five second drop-down search. Probably you're beyond needing it, but I thought it might be worth pointing out since you're a brand new member.

No offense
I'm trying both directions. I can't get anything to budge. I have a larger breaker bar coming with a torch. Hopefully that'll move them. They have been soaking in penetrating oil overnight. Also I am using an impact set to the reverse setting on it.

Is there a locking tab on the bolts?
I spent awhile trying to turn some bolts on one car and found that there was a locking tab on them. I could fit a socket over the bolt and tab but not turn the bolt. The tab is generally on the outside of the bolt and you bend it back by inserting a screwdriver between the bolt head and the tab and prying it back, then tap it down with a hammer.
I've eliminated these tabs on my cars...just use loctite blue.
One other thing, Audi recommends using new bolts just about everywhere, especially when you see angle-tightened torque specs, like 70NM+90degrees. Torque to yield should be illegal in my book but whatcha gonna do. So carefully inspect the bolts you remove and LOOK at them for stretching...the bolts are often threaded their entire length and you can see if they've been stretched...replace them or risk failure.
