Need iPod help for a 2002 S6 Avant w/ Bose. I tried searching the archives
but could not find a difinitive solution. It looks like there was a Blitzsafe adapeter that did not work then one that did. ANyone know the part # for the one that works? Is it best to call Blitzsafe directly?
I had a Blitzsafe in my 01 S4 that plugged into the CD changer cable. Does this adapter plug into the back of the head unit? Thanks for any input!
BTW - the S6 is intoxicating!!! I was going to get the new S4 but could not wait 4+ months for an Avant, saved over $10k by getting the S6, plus the tranny issues scared me a bit.

you need a Dietz 1213 adapter. search the net.
it plugs into a special aux input on the back of your head unit and gives you two rca female inputs. i bought this very nice Monster cable to go from my iPod to the back of the head unit. it routes up between the front seats. there is enough slack so you can pick the ipod up and easily navigate through the tracks without taking your eyes too far from the road. when i have the ipod in the car, i slide it into one of those Jive Jackets (i think that's the name) it's a clear rubberized cover that fits snuggly and prevents the ipod from sliding around as i drive my S6 too aggressively.
