Default New Audi

I called my wife this morning and the conversation went like this...

Me: "I have this thing on my face that I can't get off".

Wife: worried "What? WHAT?!"

Me: "A big *** grin!"

I traded in a 1996 Porsche 993 for an A6 4.2 less than 24 hours ago. I only wonder why I hadn't done it sooner. Great car!

Oh, And I withdrew the $1000 deposit I had on an M3. Another decision I feel very good about.

Great forum.

Thanks

Tri

Default Congratulations! You'll enjoy this much better than the M3!

What interior/exterior, options, etc. did you get?

Default I left my deposit on the M3 convertible and I'm keeping the A6

Congratulations on your purchase. For me the audi continues to impress with it's subtle details and wonderful engine. It's a class act. I went for the M3 Convertible because I wanted a spacious fast convertible. I'm sure I will put a post up once it comes in. (July hopefully)

I got the Ebony Pearl with Tungsten interior. Sport and Premium package. After the Porsche, this car feels like a fishbowl. A good, cocooning fishbowl!

Great forum. You guys are so warm, compared to the snotty P board, or the "My car is better than everyone else's" attitude of the BMW board.

Thanks

Tri

Default Brian: Great pictures

Also, it was your post that finally made me get off my butt and order the sway bar. Thanks for the part numbers. Oh, and my rear tail lights should be here in a week or so!

Default Re: I left my deposit on the M3 convertible and I'm keeping the A6

I bought a BMW 325 Ci last week for my wife. Although it is a great car and all, well built, beautiful inside, powerful, there something I quite not understand. When I drive the 325 I feel totally detached from the car. I do not get the same feeling of involvement and pleasure of being the steering wheel as I do with my A6. It should be the exact opposite, the BM being a Coupé and the A6 an Avant, but it's not!

I'm sure the M3 should be more involving, however in the long run, that is after the initial excitement of having a new car you might find out you prefer your Audi.
