oh the pain...just got back from an oil change. dealer says now leaking

Default oh the pain...just got back from an oil change. dealer says now leaking
from oil pump housing. Anyone ever had that? Also said I needed tie rod end on passenger side, but I already knew that. planning on replacing them soon. Anyone have a good place to get them cheap?

tie rod ends at clairparts? i think... i dunno.. try doing a search on tie rod ends.

Oil pumps usually only leak when they are removed. Otherwise very rare.

Default don't know what to say, only going by what they told me.
hey Q, have you done tie rod ends before? Looking at tech article of a guy that did his a4. Any idea if this is an accurate representation for an A6 ? I want to do it myself, but have never done it before.

Default That should be fine for your car, just realize that sometimes....
...lock nut (1) can be very hard to get loose. If you live in the snow belt plan for a fight
