Overhead lights flashing...

Overhead lights flashing...
OK, this is weird. Last night when I locked the car the overhead interior lights (front and back) kept pulsing on and off.
Today, same deal. With the switch in the center position with the car running or not, the lights will pulse (dimly) on and off.
The only way to correct it is to place the switch in the O position or the l position.
The flashing occurs in unison with the rear overheads and I have to take the same corrective action on that switch panel.
Any ideas?
