Painted my calipers RED this weekend... Now my car seems to go faster! ;-)
I used the G2 brush-on stuff (Tirerack.com). Boy, it was a lot more effort than I expected (cleaning, masking, 3-4 coats of paint, etc) but the result is a gorgeous "plastic" gloss finish.
That paint is something else... Its flow properties are amazing - you could put it on with a bristle-broom and it would still smooth out to a flat gloss result. Unfortunately that very property causes problems with application. All the cast lines and raised text 'poke' through the paint leaving them darker - the multiple coats were mainly needed to try to overcome this effect. Anyway, its done now and looking cool.
