I am considering having my front bumper resprayed, It is currently heavily scratched (which shouldnt be problem with a new lick of paint) but is also badly scratched on the black plastic trim that wraps round the lower half of the bumper. Has anyone had that painted body colour? I havent been to a paint shop about this yet but what does everyone think? The other idea is purchase a new bumper and get just the top half painted body colour.

If anyone has done this please post some pics.

I had my 2002 A4 trim painted body color. Looked great. Just needs to be prepped properly.

I concur with your point...don't think we have trim that "wraps around the bottom half"?

thanks, I shall take a before and after shot.. I think its only in the last year/two years of production that the Euro spec'd A6 got fully colour coded bumpers.. (correct me if I am wrong)
