Default please help - strange noise coming from both front wheel wells at idle

please help. just bought this to try and clean it up and keep or sell it. just didnt want it getting scrapped. 2002 audi a6 c5 2.7t 126k miles
at cold start there is what sounds like a sucking sound combined with a what u would think would be a bad bearing of sorts noise coming from BOTH front wheel wells. it gets a little better when warm. i really cant hear it from the engine bay , i have to stick my head down by the front wheels to hear it. its not quite but its not super loud either.
what is this ? any ideas at all?
couldnt be timing belt roller things could it?
it has 126 k miles and i dont know when belt was last done.
thank u everyone

could be anything. Get a long screwdriver and use as a stethoscope. Put end of handle to bones near ear and touch tip to parts near noise area. Pin down culprit.

Couple thoughts. Could it be the secondary air pump? It comes on when the car is cold and first started. Not so easy to hear unless the bearings are bad. Maybe you hear it below the car more easily than on top. It could have coincidentally shut off just as you hit the brakes. Or, what abut the brake booster?

Not saying either is the answer, just throwing ideas.
