Poll on Vag-Com : Do you let the dealer know you have checked codes / used Vag-Com?

Usually if you simply drop the line "let's Vag-it and see what the problem is"
They know you aren't an idiot and won't try to screw with you. I recently had to take mine in for a check engine light and I called ahead and asked if they could quickly Vag it for me. They said njo problem and had it waiting for me when I showed up. Turned out to be a faulty / worn out gas cap. Two thumbs up for the Audi Exchange in Highland Park, il.
