Default Power Steering Oil Leak from LH steering rack boot

Hello Audi C5 family,
My 2001 A6 2.8L Quattro is leaking oil from the steering rack boot. The steering feel has not changed and is still smooth. I am adding oil once every 3-4 days to make sure the level is kept right.

What am I looking at here? A whole steering rack replacement? Or is it possible that it needs the boot replaced only?

If the boot only, will I still need to uninstall the rack to work on it? Or is it serviceable without taking the assy out?

Any advise would be of great help.
Thanks

boot is to stop dust and dirt getting in, not fluid getting out. your seals are gone in your rack so as George points out you need a new one. If you have it done at a shop make sure they have a solid warranty for parts AND labor as rebuilds are notorious for leaking.

thanks for your response.
Are there other components I should consider replacing for this job? Fluid lines? Tie rods? Etc...?
