Default Radio Reception Problems

Hey Guys,

New to the forum and had a question about the radio in my 2004 A6 2.7t
My radio has horrible reception now and the only stations that work often are my first three fm presets. Now every now and then my reception for the other stations will improve but not often. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Now the reception problems are on most FM channels as well as AM.

Some extra background. I was in an accident a while back and after I got my car back from the shop I noticed the bad reception.

Was the car hit in the back or the rear window replaced?

Well I never even knew about that option. What does it do? Nothing was changed from when my radio reception was just fine.

Default Woops!

Here is the scoop, my mistake.

That option defines DX/Local as the weak or strong signals for AM or FM when using the seek button, nothing to do with reception strength.

Check your connections under the deck lid in the trunk and ground connections here is a pdf of what you have in the rear of the car.
