Radio Safe code

OK I have searched the forum and know how to reprogram the code.

I don't ever remember getting a radio card and I have kept everything that I got with the car from day one.

I know where to look for code but just don't know which code it is on the lable.

Can anyone give me a hint.

No code on the label. If you do not have the code, you need

to visit the dealer. They will hook up the VAS 5051 which will extract the pertinent information from your car, then via the internet will log in to Audi's system, retrieve your code and download the code into your radio. Very cool, but an extreme pain the ***. You used to be able to call the dealer with your VIN # and radio serial number and get the code over the phone. Now Audi will no longer do that. The new policy is that the customer must come in to the dealership to get the code. So if you live 2 hours away from the dealer and you dont know your code, you are screwed. Absolutely f'ing retarded Audi policy. Ive had more than a few customers say they will never ever buy this brand again over this.

...only a moron wouldn't realize that coming to the dealer is the only way to verify ownership.

That's why they are called anti-theft radios....

Thanks for the info. I would be more upset if it were not my fault that the bat. went dead

I was detailing it and my son got in and turned the radio back on by turning the car on. It just s..ks that I have no radio over the weekend with a freshly waxed car.....

Well its not too stupid until you need that code. After that

it gets real stupid. This is especially true when you consider the obvious fact that the Audi radio will not fit in almost anything else on the planet. Because it will not fit in anything else it is very low on the thieves priority list. So why is it harder to get my code than it is to board an airplane carrying a firearm?
