Recommendations for good dealer or independent in NY area?
Looking for some recommendations on a competent shop, in advance, for tune up, diagnostics, and general maintenance type work for a 2000 A6 2.7T.
Wanted to get some suggestions for the NYC and surrounding areas, in case anyone's dealt with one around here that they can recommend-
Thanks!

I have had good experience with Mohegan lake motors in Yorktown (Westchester)
Bought the car there last November (2000 A6 4.2). Salesman was great, service seems good too. Over all, no complaints.

Thanks, I'll look 'em up. Did you have it in there for scheduled maintenance work or anything specific?

The LI places are convenient, since there won't be any tolls involved, coming from Queens-
Found Anchor Audi, and Mohegan Lake, Audi of Huntington; added to the list, thanks!

Had a small engine oil leak - something about replacing a boot - I don't have the paperwork in front of me. Also had the window guides replaced on the passenger side and the hazzard switch was replaced because the turn signals wouldn't work all the time. All was done under warrenty.
The Service Advisor I usually deal with is named Scott Bender and seems like a good guy.

Anchor Audi is Nowhere Close to What it Used to Be...
... when John Lima was a service manager there a few years ago. They still do an adequate job, but in order to get a status on the car you have to call them several times per day, speak to several non-related people and usually have the car sitting there overnight for various reasons.
It's still a joy to buy the car from them, though (I mean Joe Mortel, my salesman)

yeah I went through the same process
I bought my audi from belavia (they are now called riverside audi) in NJ, but their service dept is not open on the weekends. I go to anchor audi for service.
Huntington seemed nice, but anchor was closer. I will stay away from the one in great neck/manhasset and the one in manhattan.
