S6 Tint and StonGard underway.....
I went with the full kit on the stonegard, I am also thinking of adding a custom application up the A-Pillar and the roof space between the top of the windshield and the sunroof. Any thought on the custom piece?
On the tint front I am going with 35% all around due to the Ebony interior. I wanted to do 20% but was talked out of it as being to dark with the dark interior and anti-legality of tint here in NJ.

Re: Smart move on the tint
Thanks for the help, my TT had 35% on the sides and 20% in the rear until I had it removed for inspection. I return home that evening to find out that NJ sent me a two year extension on my inspection. All new cars now come with a four year sticker!!! How peeved was I!

Be sure to put a strip in front of the rear wheels and along the top of the rear bumper...
and have it draped about 6 or 8 inches over the edge. This will protect you bumper taking items in and out of the back (plus protect the rear bumper if you should bump into a small, unmarked pole in the dark (like I did, - no damages to bumper, just a very small mark on the Stonguard which I rubbed off).
I also put some material on the front of each flare in front of the rear wheels. This is where many owners have posted that the S6/4.2 flares have taken a beating from road rash.
Over 7K miles so far and no problems.

I wouldn't worry about the A pillars. I just purchased a 99 Avant from Utah (more)
In Utah there is a lot of gravel/salt on the roads around SLC for half (all?) the year and the front of the car is a little peppered at 53k miles (volcano black car, so it all shows). The front bumper, grill surround (paint area, not the actual chrome/plastic parts) headlights and windshield are a little weathered.
The A pillars, however, show no signs of chipping/pitting.
The stoneguard would be around eye level there so it might be more noticeable, and in the end serving no protective purpose, so I'd say don't waste your money.
